About the event
Based in Europe, former Stevie Wright (Easybeats), Jim Keays (Masters’ Apprentices), Swanee and Band of Friends (Rory Gallagher’s band) guitarist Gwyn Ashton is returning home to Oz on tour!
Ashton’s latest album Mojosoul is now on the Australian Roots & Blues Charts and his 2025 single, Mississippi Moonshine Mama features special guest artists Kevin Borich, Rod Mayall, David Blight (Cold Chisel), Rob Vorel, Harry Brus and Paul Wheeler (Icehouse). He's also releasing a new album, Grease Bucket, with Icehouse drummer Paul Wheeler.
In 2023 Ashton also co-headlined the Adelaide Guitar Festival and released a single with Guns N Roses guitarist Richard Fortus and members of Cold Chisel and Superjesus. He plays folk, blues, rock and jazz festivals, venues, bars, school masterclasses and on radio stations, all over the world.
